A berry-red garnet cabochon pendant, framed in a rope twist border with a decorative scroll top setting. Hallmarked for 1988, it weighs 0.8 grams and measures 1.6 by 0.7 cm (not including the jump ring).
 
The garnet has a rich, glowing depth that shows beautifully in the light. There is a faint split visible under a loupe on the back of the stone, though it can’t be seen with the naked eye.
