Layaway Payment Plans

Interested in layaway? Please read the terms below carefully before committing.

Layaway is available on selected pieces at my discretion as a way to spread the cost of higher-value purchases. Entering into a layaway plan confirms acceptance of the terms outlined here.

How Layaway Works

​

A minimum deposit of 25% of the purchase price is required to secure an item.

The remaining balance must be paid within a maximum period of four months from the date of the initial deposit. A shorter timeframe may be agreed, but the total term cannot exceed four months.

Once the deposit is received, the piece is reserved exclusively for you and removed from sale.

The item remains the property of Celestine & Opal until the balance has been paid in full. No goods are dispatched before final payment is received.

Payment Methods

​

All layaway payments must be made via UK bank transfer, PayPal Friends and Family, or Wise.

Card payments and third-party checkout systems are not accepted for layaway plans.

Non-Refundable Deposit

​

The 25% deposit is strictly non-refundable.

The deposit compensates for reserving the item, removing it from sale, administrative time, and the impact on business cashflow.

If the layaway is cancelled by you, or if payments are not completed within the agreed timeframe, the deposit will be retained.

Any instalments paid beyond the deposit will be refunded if the layaway is cancelled before completion.

Missed or Delayed Payments

​

If a payment is missed or significantly delayed without prior agreement, the layaway may be cancelled.

If cancellation occurs:

The deposit will be retained.
Any additional instalments paid beyond the deposit will be refunded.
The item will be returned to sale.
No further balance will be owed.

Returns After Completion

​

Once the final payment has been received and the item has been dispatched, the purchase is complete.

Layaway purchases are not eligible for change-of-mind cancellation once the layaway agreement has commenced.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected after dispatch if an item is faulty or not as described.
