This is an Edwardian 18ct gold engraved cigar band ring, hallmarked in 1904. The engraving is the star here, rich and detailed, running continuously around the band so there is always something happening when it sits alongside plainer rings. The width gives it real presence in a stack, while the engraved surface keeps it visually active, making it easy to combine with slimmer gold bands without overpowering them. At just over seven millimetres wide it balances beautifully against both antique and modern rings, adding texture and pattern through the stack rather than sitting flat.
