I love a link that refuses to fit neatly into a single category and this one does it perfectly. You have the ribbed belcher at the core, giving you that neat run of texture, and around it sits an oval faceted link that throws light back in a completely different way. The mix works because it gives interest without shouting for attention, a combination that brings shape and sparkle while still staying wearable every day. The chain carries two antique dog clips and although they aren’t from the same original pair they work together beautifully, giving you both a swivel clip and a fixed clip with strong triggers and plenty of scope for charms and pendants. One clip is by Broughton, the Birmingham jeweller working from the 1890s, which is a lovely detail to have on an antique chain.
