A striking 18ct gold ring set with diamonds and vivid blue enamel, likely dating to the Victorian era and in the style of half-mourning jewellery.
At its centre sits a round-cut diamond measuring approximately 2.34mm, framed by a ring of vivid cobalt enamel. Surrounding that, a halo of sixteen smaller round-cut diamonds adds brilliance and texture. The shoulders are lightly textured for extra detail before flowing into a plain polished band.
There are no hallmarks, but the ring has been tested as 18ct gold. It weighs 6.3 grams and is a UK size Q / US size 8 / EU 57.
Condition is excellent, with the enamel in particularly fine order — crisp and luminous, showing the kind of care that makes a piece like this remarkable.
In Victorian times, black enamel was reserved for full mourning, while colours such as blue and white were used for half mourning, signalling the easing of grief and a gradual return to colour and life. This piece reflects that tradition beautifully, blending sentiment with elegance.
